My firm has considerable experience in representing clients in the following practice areas: Family law, including Divorce, Adoptions, Child Custody, Child Support, Visitation Rights and Modifications of previous divorce Decrees; Bankruptcy, including Chapter 7 and other debt relief options; Criminal Law, including OWI/DUI/DWI, Possession of Marijuana and other drugs, Theft, and many other criminal charges. In my General Practice also handle Juvenile prosecutions and other law, Guardianships and Powers of attorney, and drafting wills. I also represent the victims of personal injury and people involved in automobile accidents. A recent exciting development is that I have joined a group of attorneys and other professionals in practicing and promoting Collaborative Divorce Law in Iowa City and the area.

I have been practicing in the Iowa City area since 2000. I still consider myself to be a general practitioner, as my focus is on getting to know my clients and setting up ongoing relationships with them. That way I can provide a wide variety of legal services as the need arises based on my knowledge of their background and circumstances.

I have found that, over time, my practice has concentrated more and more on family law (divorces, child support, custody, and the like), criminal and juvenile law, and bankruptcy as I gain more expertise in these areas. Another advantage is that I am associated with fine, experienced, attorneys who practice in a broad range of areas. So if I cannot provide the legal services you need myself, I am sure to be able to refer you with confidence to someone who does.
